Garden Maintenance

We offer free quotes for all garden maintenance work in Derby. Operating all year, our maintenance services include garden clearance, grass mowing and hedge cutting, garden weeding, waste removal, grass turfing, painting fences, deck and patio pressure washes and other garden work.

Available for one-off clearances or on-going maintenance, be that weekly, fortnightly, or as and when required.

Should you require regular garden maintenance, Garden King tailor our service to your needs, we’ll keep your garden tidy 12 months of the year. Starting with an initial meeting to agree on a schedule of jobs for each service.

Afterward, we’ll provide a written quote and schedule detailing the agreement and work to be undertaken.

This service has a fixed price, dependent on the number of jobs and time required. Garden waste will be removed after each service and recycled.

Turfing

Choose Garden King for your turf laying needs. Ensuring the area is free of weeds, using a rotavator for as required. We level the soil ready for laying the new turf. If the soil is of low quality, there my be the need to use some organic topsoil to give the fresh turf a great start.

For a free estimate, contact us to arrange a visit to assess and measure the area.

We are also able to turf for you to lay yourselves. All turf is high quality and once laid must be well watered on a regular basis until it is established.

Grass
Cutting

From a ‘one-off cut’ or the regular, scheduled cutting service. Services are arranged seasonally to be fortnightly, every three weeks or a longer interval as required. Prices are agreed for each job and the same price is charged for each visit. Grass trimmings will be removed and recycled.

Garden Waste Removal

All garden waste is removed and disposed of locally in a green waste disposal site. The waste is usually and made into different types of organic planting materials.

We can arrange a fixed price for waste removal. We are unable to take away large tree trunks.

Full Garden Clearance

Supplies

We also supply soil for your gardens such as organic general purpose garden compost and organic screened topsoil. Both supplied in a bulk bags just under a cubic meter (about 1/2 a ton). Please contact us for prices.

Available for commercial as well as domestic clients, we’re fully insured and have references available.

Hedge cutting

Garden King are expert shrub and hedge trimmers, we provide hedge-cutting and small tree pruning and maintenance service throughout the Derby, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas for commercial and domestic clients.

With Garden King’s wealth of arboriculture experience and personal attention, you’re assured of receiving great, sound advice on the long-term maintenance and management of your trees, shrubs and hedges.

We also provide a full tree, shrub and hedge planting service, with the supply of plants and all preparatory works and advice that you may need for the establishment of a new garden hedge on your property.

- LOPPING: Removal of diseased or problem tree limbs.

- TOPPING: To reduce wind or snow damage to trees and clear telephone or electricity cables.
- POLLARDING: Cut back to main trunk on suitable trees.
- TRIMMING: Hedges, conifers and shrubs lowered, trimmed, shaped and tidied.
